ILEIA is qualified as a Public Benefit Organisation (In Dutch: Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling) as the efforts of our organisation are focused on the general good. ILEIA and it’s staff involved comply with the integrity requirements set by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration.

Mission of ILEIA

ILEIA strengthens family farming rooted in agroecology by linking the, movement, science and practice of agroecology through systematising grounded experiences. Read more about our mission and vision.

Supervisory board

ILEIA has a Supervisory Board, which consists of six members of six nationalities, three women and three men. The board members have high profile expertise in the fields of management, international agriculture, sustainability, research, and development.

The members of the Supervisory board receive only a travel allowance.

Management team

ILEIA is a flat and compact organisation, managed by a fulltime director, Edith van Walsum. This director gives overall strategic direction to the organisation, is responsible for strategic alliance building and network coordination, internal management of ILEIA, administrative and financial operations, and the marketing of products and services.
