Over 30 years of experience, ILEIA has developed a particular way of working. One of our tools for strengthening family farming is to facilitate the learning of the people who are sharing their experience in agroecology or family farming. Through supporting an actor to tease out key details that reveal important lessons for a broader audience, or facilitating a collective systematisation of the experience of a village or an organisation, the process of systematisation is very powerful in supporting people’s agency. By communicating and disseminating grounded experiences we not only create impact through the readers on practice and policy, but through believing in and supporting the agency of people who have important stories to tell.
